Registration tip for LLPs

Registering an LLP normally requires that an LP of exactly the same name was previously or is simultaneously filed. An exception is a general partnership registering as an LLP.

LLP renewal

The Secretary of State eliminated the annual registration requirement for LLPs. After initial registration, the LLP must instead file an annual report, due no later than June 1 of each year.
